(ooc: September 2nd, some time after Money Honey. Open only to Etoile and Jenna.)
"There. That's the last of it."
Etoile had ended up spending the better part of her day getting her things organized on her side of the dorm she was apparently meant to share with someone. Having a roommate wasn't a foreign idea to her, but she hadn't even met her roommate yet. Who could know what the other girl was like at all? It probably would have been best if Etoile had gone and looked for her roommate. The problem was that she hadn't had the foresight to do that and so was in the dark about who she would even be with. Dumb moment aside, she thought things would work out. So far Etoile hadn't met anyone she didn't like. Who was to say she wouldn't get along with her roommate?
As she laid on her bed, adjusting the position of her Ray plushie she had snuck along for the journey, she let a little sigh escape her. All she could do was wait to see what her roommate would even be like and who she was. Maybe she'd get lucky. Maybe whoever it was would be nice. "Guess the only way to find out is to wait, huh?" she asked quietly. And so wait she did, all the while glancing between her side of the dorm and the door just in case her roommate took the opportunity to walk in.

Carrying her new uniform, her suitcases (one filled with clothes, the other filled with pots, pans and other kitchen essentials) was one happy 18 year old girl. She had a wide grin on her face, her mother's dimpled smile. Dragging the suitcases and her shopping bags, she stopped in front of the door. Room P49. She snuggled her suitcase under her armpit and burst open the door. The brown skinned princess fell forward and groaned, dropping all of her stuff onto the floor. One of the bags she carried spilled out on the floor, tossing her large collection of frog plushies onto the ground.
There was a Kermit, several small beanies and even more large frogs of varying shades of green. She rubbed her black hair and grinned up at her roommate sheepishly. "Uh...hey," she said, picking herself up, "Ah'm Jenna and these are mah frogs."

"Oh, hi!" Etoile greeted cheerfully. She pushed herself into a sitting position on her bed and smiled a little, only realizing that Jenna had mentioned frogs half a second later. That was very interesting... how often did girls like frogs enough to keep them as pets? That aside, Etoile was quite glad to know her roommate was there at last. It meant less of a wait for her. "I'm Etoile. It's nice to meet you, Jenna." she said.
"You need help unpacking anything? I don't really have a lot to do since I just got finished." she said. It seemed polite to at least offer her assistance. After all, with more hands the work would get done a lot faster. Well, she'd gathered that much from having a big family anyway. She couldn't just sit there and not offer her assistance if Jenna needed it.

(she was talking about the plushies lol) Bobbing her head in a nodding motion, Jenna knelt down and started picking up her plush toys and tossing them on the bare bed that Etoile wasn't occupying. She spoke as she tossed. "Naw, ah'm alright," she said, pushing back a piece of her straight back hair, "Ah ain't got much." The female rose after finishing with the frogs and tossed her large suitcase on the bed.
"S'nice ta meetcha Etoile. That's a pretty name ya got there," she said, opening the zipper on her bag, "So, who'd yer parents turn out t'be. Ah mean if ya believe that. Ah do, causa who they say mine are. Naveen'n Tiana." She puffed herself up proudly.

(ooc: |D I totally knew that.)
"Naveen and Tiana?" Etoile repeated. What were the odds of that? Her being the daughter of Ray and her roommate being related to Tiana and Naveen. Talk about lucky! "This is probably going to sound strange, but my parents are Ray and Evangeline." she said. It probably was a little harder to tell, especially since she didn't have an accent to speak of, but it was the truth.
"Pretty weird that we ended up being roommates, right?" she asked. Coincidence or not, it was weird... and yet kind of neat at the same time. She wondered if anyone else had had such good luck getting a roommate like that.

"Y'gotta be KIDDIN' ME." Jenna whooped a loud flutter of laughter. She leaned against her bedpost with a grin. "Ain't that just the bees knees? Uh boy, I'm soundin' more an' more like ah come from the 20's everyday." She chuckled softly and walked up towards Etoile, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. Truth be told, personal space wasn't really an issue for her. She didn't mind invading it.
"Ain't that somethin'!" She said, "Ain't ya proud? We got the best movie parents out there! Ah mean Princess an' the Frog was mah favorite movie. What're the odds of us...y'think Disney did this on purpose?"

"This is so totally awesome. I never thought I'd have ended up with someone who was also related to Princess and the Frog characters." Etoile was grinning like a doof as she spoke. That fact was something she would admit to loving very much. She and Jenna were going to get on great, or at least she hoped so. Her roommate's question seemed easy enough to answer. How could it be anything but fate or something of that nature?
"Maybe it was meant to be, you know? He must have thought we'd go great together, so we got put in the same room." she said. Or something like that. Etoile couldn't think of better terms to put it in. "Either way, this is going to be great. I was actually kind of worried about what my roommate would be like. But now, I think we're going to get along just fine." she said.
