Kuniko Ookiimune
{Age/School Year: 13/8th Grade}
{Physical Description: Kuniko has tanned skin from her heritage and farming. Despite being raised in the Far East, she doesn't have almond-shaped eyes, and she has a distinctly Arabic nose. She has long black hair, which has never been cut and so is done in a high ponytail. Having not yet been effected by puburty, she has a slender figure. She doesn't wear jewelry, but she can often be found wearing geisha make-up, when she's dressed formally. When not in uniform, she prefers to dress in work clothes or her dance kimonos.}

Not going to lie. This image was too tempting.
{"My mother says it's always important to keep yourself well-fed. It helps you to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually."}
{Special Talent/skill inherited from parents: Kuniko is very acrobatic and athletic. However, her athleticism revolves around dexterity and agility, not strength or stamina, much like her father Aladdin.}
{History: Like in a fairy tale, Kuniko was found in a rice paddy by her adoptive father. As Toshi Ookiimune, her adoptive mother, was barren, the young girl was considered a gift from heaven and an answer to prayers. Kuniko was raised from then on as though she was a normal Japanese girl, the daughter of a farmer and a renowned countryside geisha. She learned the arts of rice, soybean, and azuki bean farming, cooking, and dance. Though her home was in rural Japanese countryside, her family did have a television and many movies, including some from the Disney collection. However, she never thought anything about herself being related to any of the Disney characters.
Actually, Kuniko's favorite forms of entertainment included dancing, cooking, and practicing her athletics. She did enjoy helping her parents on the farm, but it wasn't exactly 'fun'. She lived her life learning of her family's traditions and Japanese folklore. Despite not appearing Asian, she was fully convinced that she was Japanese. She never planned to leave the family farm, planning on having her future husband join her and take her last name, as was the astonishing tradition of her family.
The letter was actually quite a surprise. Though an honorable offer, Kuniko was about to turn it down. If not for the word 'destiny', her parents wouldn't have urged her, either. It was quite the surprise to Kuniko, but she would be taken into town and sent off to seek her destiny, which she had never believed would be anywhere off of the farm.}
{Adoptive Family – Daichi Ookiimune (Father) and Toshi Ookiimune (Mother)}
{Likes – Rice, Fish, Sweets, Dancing, Working, Hot Baths}
{Dislikes – Being Insulted, Being away from her parents, being indoors too long.}
{Fun Facts: Her name was made up entirely by her adoptive family. Her original Arabic name is Maram.
Though preferring to use her athleticism for acrobatics and dancing, Kuniko has been trained in the arts of the war fan, kama, and nunchaku, implements she would find in the dance hall and farming shed.}
{Sample Post: Kuniko looked out the plane as she soared over the Pacific Ocean. It was so strange. Twenty-four hours ago, the idea that she could fly over the ocean to a distant land was something she thought only happened in movies.But here she was, headed past the great waters to a school that was to reveal her destiny.
She blushed as she realized something. She hardly had any schooling experience. She had been taught simple mathematics and literature. What was she thinking, going to somerthing like an academy? A foreign academy even!?
She sighed as she thought about this. Her parents had wanted her to go to find her destiny. "But if my destiny is not at home, then what is it? I hope it's something important. The harvest will be harder on father this year." She curled up slightly in her seat, thinking desperately about what the future might hold for her.}
