(September 2nd. For Kevin & Chester to settle in.)
Kevin breathed out a huge breath of air as he set the last piece of his room in place. A guitar lay on its side beside his plaid comforter and paw printed sheets. A few rock posters graced the walls on his side of the room, bands with names like Blowsight, Creature Feature, and Linkin Park. His headset over his ears the musically inclined youth bobbed his head to the rap lyrics which were flowing from the speakers. Tapping his hardwood desk, he gazed around the room and nodded slowly. Perfection itself. There was even a poster of 101 Dalmatians hanging over his bed. Dorky, he was aware of that but whatever. He'd been at the Academy long enough to know that the least of the strangest things around here was kids hanging posters, collecting plushes and toys of their real parents.
Dusting off his hands in his fingerless gloves, the boy collapsed on his bed. Removing the earphones, he picked up his guitar and started to pluck the strings slowly. He hummed along.

Whatever peaceful environment Kevin had set up was about to be wrecked in one way or another. A certain redhead would (possibly unintentionally) make sure of that. It was just as Kevin had started to strum on his guitar that Chester decided to make his grand entrance. He came through the door, deciding that kicking it open probably wouldn't have ended well for his foot and instead opting to open it normally, and seemed to be rather unaware of the presence of his roommate.
Since Chester wasn't much of a singer, he wasn't going to subject his roommate to the sound of him attempting to make music in that manner. Instead he was humming what was essentially his father's theme song, and he appeared to be enjoying himself quite a bit as he did. Though the humming soon stopped, though, when he did finally catch sight of Kevin. He'd been lucky he hadn't decided to belt out the last part. Even if he wasn't all that in to singing, he could at least get in to the last part of the supposed theme song. Well... time to make his identity known, he guessed.
"Hey. Guess we're roommates, huh? I'm Chester." he greeted.

Lifting his head and staring his half-closed eyes up at Chester, his lips curled into a smile. He sighed and lowered his guitar beside him on the bed. Standing, he leaned against the bedpost and placed his hands in his pocket. He nodded. "Sup," he said, "Name's Kevin. Kevin Radcliffe." He raised his shoulders in a shrug and raised an eyebrow as well. He peered at the bags and then back up at his new roommate. "Need some help, dude?"
Chester seemed fine by him. So long the kid didn't get completely on his nerves.
(short post is short, sorry ^^'')
