(This takes place on the 2nd, concurrently with the move-in threads. Open to anyone who might be passing by.)
Valérie Gaston slowly made her way down the steps towards the basement, her eyes and ears prepped to pick up any cue. Back in the day, if anyone saw it her it used to be that she could put on a cute smile and feign having gotten lost in the big castle and avoided punishment. Now that she was a bit older, it was getting harder and harder to pull the ditzy little girl bit. Not that she wouldn't try if it came to it though.
As she reached the bottom, she reached into her handbag to produce a lemon yellow cardigan and slipped it over her white sundress. Normally, she preferred to pair red and yellow, but considering this was her last day to wear white, she figured she'd make the best of it. As for the sundress, she had similar thoughts: It was already September. Might as well get use out of it while the getting was still good.
Val did one final check of the hallway before finally stepping out into it. She knew WHY girls weren't allowed on the level, she just didn't care. Didn't Old Man Disney have better things to do than play chastity police anyway? She was 17. Her mother (adopted mother, she corrected herself) was already married by this age. Meanwhile, she couldn't talk to a boy without practically setting off bells somewhere in the Principal's office.
It was just so draconian. She wasn't even up to anything! Not really. She had always just gotten along better with guys than with girls. Girls were petty, manipulative, and just plain mean. Guys were always nice, to her at least, and if they didn't like you they'd tell you straight out why. It was nice to be appreciated.
She slipped her pocket mirror out of her bag and checked to make sure her red lipstick was still presentable, before moving on to her hair, making sure the red ribbon she used to keep her thick ponytail together was tight enough. Then she leaned back against the wall and waited. Away from any particular door, of course. Didn't want a boy to pass by to think she was waiting for someone specific, after all...

(Gonna say this takes place prior to Dexter arriving in his room because this interaction will amuse me terribly)
Dex was wandering down the hallways in the basement. Why Disney had settled the boys with the basement he hadn't a clue but it was fine with him. He hated seeing the sunlight anyway when he awoke from sleep and having no windows would be fine with him. Despite it looking like a cave down there, the boy was content to locate his room number and just trot his way towards the locked door.
However, there was something that caught his eye. A girl. A girl on the boys floor. A pretty girl on the boys floor. His eyes brightened behind his glasses, face flushing a bright red color as he carried the boxes filled with his stuff down the hallway. Just keep walking! Maybe she won't notice you! He thought nervously trotting quicker towards his room. Of course that was impossible. The hallways were terribly small. But a boy could dream couldn't he? He didn't want her to stop and talk to him for fear gibberish would be his only form of speech.

Val turned her head to see a bespectacled young man heading towards her. She smiled. Oh, she just adored nerds! They never took anything for granted in the girl department, and the old “be my tutor” move was a classic for a reason. In her case, she really would enjoy getting him to do a bit of work for her, but that didn't mean she couldn't stop for “snack” break either.
As she was walking towards the young man, she saw he was blushing. Simply adorable, she thought, and so very complimentary. She didn't even stop moving as she walked by and snatched his glasses off his face and put them on her own. It was her favorite move with nerds because they'd never abandon their precious glasses. Sometimes they were quick enough to stop her, but with his arms full this guy wasn't in the position to do much about it.
“Hey Handsome, hope you don't mind me borrowing your glasses. How do I look? Very vogue, right? I hope so!”
She fumbled around in her bag (jeez, how bad were this kid's eyes?) before finally finding and pulling out a pair of red reading glasses.
“Hey, I have an idea. I'm already trying on yours, why don't you try on mine and we'll see who wears the others better! And then you can put down those boring old boxes and we can hang out a bit! You have to say yes or I'll pout. You don't want to make me pout, do you?”

OhMyGodOhMyGodOhMyGodOhMyGodOhMyGodOhMyGod. She touched me. Why did she have to touch me? Now I can’t see! His mind was a blur of activity, moving about left and right, trying to focus. He was nearly blind without the glasses and all he saw were flashes of color. His mouth hung open slightly, shocked and surprised by the girl’s bold attitude. From what he’d seen before (not that he could see anymore but boy did he sure remember it) the girl was part of that pretty crowd who didn’t usually want anything to do with him. But Etoile was pretty and she’d wanted to speak to him so perhaps…perhaps Academy D was going to be different. “I c-c-c-c-can’t t-tell,” He mumbled, barely sputtering out the words he needed, “I c-c-can’t s-s-see.” The stutter was far worse than he imagined when it spat its way out of his mouth. He placed the boxes on the ground beside him and felt around in the air, squinting and trying to see. Poor blind youth was blind as a bat.
“I’m D-D-D-Dexter, D-D-Dex,” he sputtered, finally feeling out for her reading glasses and placing them on his face. The blur was something awful. It almost gave him a headache. He reached out to shake her hand, placing his hand past her shoulder. “N-N-Nice to meet you,” he stammered, “But uh…w-w-what are you d-d-doing down he-he-here?” He wanted to know; she was on the boy’s level. It was terribly confusing to the young man. Not to mention the fact that he could barely see the confident young lass.
Dex’d thought his stammering would subside. He’d had little problem talking to Etoile…well…not exactly. But unlike Etoile who’d been friendly, this girl was REDICULOUSLY friendly and bold.

"I'm Val. Val Gaston. A pleasure to meet you, Dex. And I'm not doing much at all. I feel a bit silly admitting this" she did her best giggle "But I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere and ended up here. I'm glad I did though, since I got to meet you! Why, aren't you glad to have met me" she said, reaching out and taking his misaimed hand that shot past her and placing it on her mostly bare shoulder.
"By the way, those look so fetching on you. You should buy a red pair of your own so we can be twinsies!"

Awkward. This is so awkward. So very very very very awkward. Still not being able to see anything, Dex's stomach lurched when he felt his hand touch bare skin. His chest tightened and his face flushed furiously. "Sure...of c-course I'm glad to m-m-meet you," Dex said, swallowing nervously, "I just c-c-can't see." How you took a wrong turn and ended up in a basement, Dexter could not guess. Her name stirred a bit in his mind. Gaston. Did that mean she was the daughter of...but his mind returned back to mush when he realized his hand was still perched on her shoulder. He let it slide away as he took off the red glasses from his face, squinting again so he could make out at least a form.
"Yeah...well...I'm s-s-s-sure they look m-much b-better on y-y-you," he said shyly.

"Awww, aren't you sweet. Well, I suppose I owe you at least as much as the chance to find out." she took off his glasses and put her newly returned red ones on, and then lifted them up to his face. She had quickly picked up that he had a very particular reaction to being touched, so she made sure her hand brushed up against as much of his cheek as possible as she put them back on him.
"There you go, Dexy. Back to your usual cuteness. How about me? Do I make them work? Or do I just look like a big nerd with them on?"
She took a step back so he could get a better look and also took the opportunity to establish herself squarely in his path, should he decide bolting was a valid option over being touched by a girl again. She had gotten into this purely to facilitate a business exchange, but now that she knew he was so easily flustered she wanted to play a little more. She absolutely adored breaking in geeky little shut-ins, they were so easy to please and made her feel like a god for the simplest tricks.

"C-Cute? Me?" His voice was a squeaky whisper as he repeated the foreign words. He didn't think he was an ugly creature by any means but cute? That was a new one on him. He blinked a few times before setting his glasses back in place. When her hand brushed against his cheek his legs nearly collapsed underneath of him. He wasn't sure what this girl's deal was. Girls just DIDN'T flirt with him. This was a fact. The sky was blue and girls did not flirt with the awkward young man. He was quick to scramble with an answer when she spoke about being a big nerd.
"N-o! Not at all! Y-Y-You, I'm s-sure could n-n-never look like a nerd," he said with a shy smile. She was blocking his path. Damn. There was no escaping now. He'd have to be social and not have a heart attack in the process. "You wanna s-s-see nerd? R-ri-right here," he said pointing to himself. Of course he was a nerd. Space magazines and graphic novels, scifi DVD's and Dresden Files books laced his boxes. He looked down at her with his glasses, tilting down his nose.

"You shouldn't be so down on yourself, sweetie. Nerd is very in vogue now. I mean, haven't you seen all the girls going wild for Twilight? Supernatural hotties are making nerds of half the female population." she said, flashing her best smile. Time for the kill.
"I prefer the real thing over characters in books though." she said, as she slowly began walking towards Dexter.
"You can't talk to fictional characters."
She stepped closer.
"You can't be friends with them."
She stepped closer, reaching her hand out and running it gently up Dexter's shirt.
"You can't touch them and, most importantly..."
She slide forward, pressing her entire body against Dexter's.
"..you can't kiss them."
Moving her head in, she pressed her ruby-coated lips against his.

“Aw gee, I wouldn’t consider Twilight anything like the stuff real nerds read. I mean you-“ His stutter had disappeared for a few minutes before he realized he was blabbering on. When it came to talking about nerdy stuff, Dexter was a pro. But staring down at the girl made him think she had something else on her mind besides sparkling vampires. His mouth hung open slightly in surprise as she took a step closer.
Then another.
Then another.
Then she had her hand on his chest. His face flushed bright red as his glasses slipped down the bridge of his nose. His chest was tight. He was barely breathing. What was WRONG with this girl? Did she not notice the goofy air that he carried around himself? The nerdy glow that seemed to radiate off of him? Apparently not.
Her body was tucked against his which made him shiver quite violently. “Talk…to…” he stammered, “Touch…uh…” His words weren’t even coming out properly as she raised her lips up to his. It was like an electric shock had stung through his body. His eyes didn’t even close. It was like they were frozen solid. He half wanted to push her aside and ask her had she lost her mind. But Dex’s first kiss had been really shitty and had been because a girl was dared by her friends to do it. And had occurred last year. So he wanted to at least have a few seconds before pulling away. He shut his eyes tightly as if that’s what he was supposed to do before opening them again, breathing outwards and pulling back slightly.
“Uh…wh-wh-wha’d you do th-th-that f-for?” He stuttered. His hands hung limply at his side. A real guy would have pulled her close, grabbed her, something. But he was a big mushy dorkball so there was no way that was happening.

Gunner had a skateboard tucked under his his arm, clutched in his hand securely. The other hand, tugged at one of the gauges in his ears vaguely. A pretty quiet day. No one had really spoken to him since he got here, but he was mostly to blame for that. He'd been doing an pretty decent job avoiding the mass population of other kids. However, his luck was about to run out pretty darn quickly.
When he rounded the corner, his green eyes focused in on an awkward boy being pinned to the wall by a dainty girl. Not of strengths, no doubt, but she obviously had other means of getting what she wanted. That much was evident, by how close their faces were.
"-do th-th-that f-for?" was all Gunner had managed to hear when he unsuspectingly came around the corner, leaving his knowledge of the situation on a cliff. But it was a little late to back out now, and in his shock he'd abruptly stopped.
Instead, he lifted his free hand in a fist to his mouth, and coughed into it to announce his arrival. His eyes shifted to the side, before returning his calculating stare back to the two of them. Even had his eyes not been somewhat hidden behind dishevelled black hair, he'd be difficult to read past bored.

Jeez, she thought, I have to make all the moves with this kid.
"I did it because I think you're cute. And you think I'm cute. Do you want to know what else boys and girls do when they both think each other are cute?"
She pulled back from Dexter, letting her hand linger on his chest as long as possible before she stood just out of reach, gesturing towards his boxes of stuff. "You sure have a lot of stuff to carry,, Dexy! I may not look like much in the strength department, but I bet I could handle one little box. Why don't I help you bring this stuff to your room and we can get to know each other a little better...maybe much better." she smiled, her white teeth heavily contrasted with the bright red of her lips.

A noise escaped his lips somewhat between a whine, a whimper and a groan. His lip quivered, mouth hung open and dry as she backed away. His shoulders collapsed and he straightened up, pushing back his glasses to the bridge of his nose. He bit his lip as she spoke.
"Do you want to know what else boys and girls do when they both think each other are cute?"
"Uh...they....uh..." Rhetorical question he realized too late. He gulped as she spoke of helping him with his boxs and helping him with other things. He looked down and cleared his throat. "I...I'm...okay...uh...I can...uh....c-carry uh...g-g-g-get t-t-to kn-kn-know each oth-th-ther?" Her smile sort of sent a vile chill down his spine.
Suddenly the clearing of a throat made the youth look up. OH GOD WHO WAS HERE?! He lifted his head and saw the raven haired youth approach. "H-H-H-Hi!" He gasped, stepping out of Valerie's grasp, "Wh-wh-what's up? H-h-how's it g-g-g-going?" He lifted his chin and gave a sideways glance to Valerie.
"L-looking f-f-for your r-r-r-r-room?"

"Sheesh... you'd think it would be easier to find my room in a place like this."
Thus far, Valentino had been having an... interesting day. He'd arrived the previous day, a bit later than the others since he had gotten lost, and he'd spent the better part of the morning just trying to learn his way around. He almost did wish he was a bird at that point. At least then he might have some idea of where he was going. Since that wasn't the case, though, Valentino had had to make due with not knowing quite where he was going. The fact that he was carrying his baggage with him didn't make it any better, either.
Suddenly, Valentino came to a stop. He could hear voices ahead of him. Two boys and... a girl. Valentino grinned deviously and picked up his pace to see what was going on. The wannabe cupid wanted to see if anything was going on. What he saw when he came to a stop was Dexter, Valerie, and Gunner. He looked the group over and let a tiny frown appear on his face. He didn't quite know if any of the people before him were all that compatible.
No matter. Might as well see if I can get them to talk.
"Well, well. Looks like a little party going on here." Valentino said. He looked Dexter's way after a moment and, in a bird-like manner, let his head tilt to the side slightly. It seemed the bespectacled man was rather uncomfortable. "Is... everything going okay?" he asked.

Figures, Val sighed, you released a little pheromones and suddenly every post-pubescent boy comes running. Ah well, she had mostly planted her seed in Dex already. She could always return later to reap what she had sowed.
She did a scan of the crowd. Dex here was obviously a non-issue. He practically pissed himself when she so much as looked at him. The black-haired boy, however, was a different issue. His expression read boredom and his skateboard read "delinquent". Which was fine, she could make use of anyone...but it required a more subtle touch.
"Well, don't just stand there, handsome. Nobody ever had fun being a wallflower." she said, gesturing with her hand that she should come over before she turned to the newly arrived boy with the interesting hair.
"Everything is better than okay, sweetie! I certainly am the lucky girl today. I get lost in finding my way around and suddenly three cute boys show up to help me." she smiled warmly at the new arrivals.
"I just love your hair by the way. I simply adore red. How did you get it to be so vibrant?" she said, stepping closer to him, her hand raising in preparation of running her hands through it.
