(September 2nd. Open to all. This takes place in the uniform shop in the strip mall.)
"Don't understand why I gotta wear a dang uniform...ain't even going to classes...this is just plain stupid." At least she didn't have to pay for the uniform, she thought, rummaging through the expensive sweater vests to find her size. The uniforms of the school were a choice between black, navy blue and dark green. Of course the frog obsessed chick had to pick out the green. She pulled up the dark sweater vest and examined it with a frown. Expensive. But she didn't care, it wasn't her money she was spending.
After picking up a plaid skirt, she trotted towards the section in the back that held real clothes and shoes. She thumbed through a few racks before staring quite intently at a pair of dark jeans. It wasn't like she didn't have her own money to spend. She picked them up then frowned again. Too small. She sighed and put the jeans back on the rack.
"Maybe ah c'n find some pajamas in here," she said softly, "Not sure if ah brought mine."

"Blargh..."
Twitch didn't particularly feel like vocalizing what was bothering him immediately, but it should have been fairly evident. He hated clothes shopping. The fact that he even needed a uniform bothered him quite a bit. It was supposed to be Disney-like, right? So why did they need uniforms? The purple-haired teen shook his head slightly and folded his arms across his chest as he looked through the different variations of uniform colors. So far, black was looking like the best choice. Green didn't suit him (despite what his friends back home had said about green and purple going well together), and he wasn't fond of the blue they offered.
"This is dumb. Wouldn't it be so much easier if they would just chill out and let us wear what we wanted?" he asked. He wasn't talking to anyone in particular, nor did he know anyone else was there, so he didn't really expect an answer. Twitch was just annoyed by the prospect of having to switch out his usual attire, old sandals included, for a uniform.

Jenna's heard the "Blargh" of the other youth and turned her head. She was kind of impressed with what she saw. She stared at his purple hair and couldn't stifle a smile. It was cool. She threw her clothes over her arms and walked up behind the boy.
"You know it," she mumbled, lifting her head in a nod, "It's worse for me. I'm not even TAKING courses!" She crossed her arms hugging the sweater vest and the skirt close to her chest. "Mah name's Jenna. Jenna Maldonia. What's yer name? Ah like yer hair." Never an antisocial one by any means, the female just preferred to keep her own company. However, the idea of making friends here, when she'd left all her culinary buddies behind, was a good one.

Twitch looked over his shoulder at Jenna and smiled just a little. Finally, someone who understood his frustration at the whole 'you need uniforms' thing! "Seriously? What's the point in wearing a uniform if you're not even in class?" he asked. The place was getting a little stranger now that he thought about it. What would make them want to make people who weren't even in classes wear dopey uniforms?
Her compliment about his hair made him grin a bit more as he turned around properly to face her. Twitch had always been fond of the idea of dying his hair. His adopted mom had freaked out like no tomorrow when he'd begged her to let him do it, but the end result had been well worth it. "Thanks. I'm Trevor Pelekai. But everybody calls me Twitch. Something about not being able to sit still for long periods of time without something to do." Twitch said. He couldn't help it. He just needed to be doing something to keep himself occupied so he didn't go crazy. That was probably where his desire to prank people had steamed from.

"Dopey is a kind word," Jenna said, grinning wildly, "Nice ta meetcha Trevor. Or Twitch. Which one d'y'all like to be called?" She didn't want to offend him by using the wrong name. Some people just preferred their nicknames while others liked to be called by their full real names. She laughed at his explanation for his name.
"S'better'n mah nickname," she said with a chuckle, "Ramsey. Y'ever seen Hell's Kitchen? Gordon Ramsey. 'Parently ah'm a bitch in a kitchen. Heh." She flicked her hair to the side, out of her eyes. "Ah was lookin' at the real clothes back here. P'raps they have somthin' that we can use to jazz up our uniforms. Whatchu think?"

"Nice to meet you, too, Jenna. And I say go with Twitch. It's what's stuck better, I think." Twitch replied. 'Ramsey', huh? That was an interesting nickname. He'd seen Hell's Kitchen once, but he wasn't all that in to cooking for himself so it hadn't really caught his attention. From what he had seen thus far, though, it didn't seem like Jenna was so bad. He had a feeling he didn't want to mess with her in the kitchen if they ever ended up there together, though.
He nodded a bit as the idea of spicing up the uniforms, too. "Sounds like a plan to me. There's gotta be something we can use to make these stupid things look better." Twitch said. But what could they use? He guessed the best way to find out was by looking for themselves.

A young woman that looked too thin to even fit in most of the uniforms walked in with a grin on her face. Her black shirt and jeans were torn and looked old. Odette rarely received new clothes, and when she did, she only had one outfit at a time. Getting new clothes was always a pleasure, especially as this school was offering it for free. She practically ran over and began grabbing up several black uniforms. She wasn't going to let any chance at free stuff slip through her fingers.
She looked over at the other two who happened to also be in the shop. There were obviously students too. "Why else would they even bother be in this store," she muttered to herself. Granted, the clothes were free, but they were definitely tacky at best. "Need to get a job and start getting myself some money," she continued to mutter. "Buncha fancypants students certainly have a few bills they could spare. Need to find a way to trick the cash out of them all, if I can't find myself a job anyplace."

Nikita bounced down the isles, deciding on a royal blue vest for her uniform color. She was sure with some accessorizing here and there (so long as it was permitted, and even if it wasn't...what were they going to do, kick her out?) she could make the outfit look good. She was far from a fashionista, but she knew what looked good and what didn't, and these uniforms where so-so at best. But at least people wouldn't be judged by what they wear.
While she was here, though, she may as well have picked up some other clothes. She picked up a tan shirt and a lose jade belt that would go nicely with a pair of jeans she owned and decided to buy them. Money wasn't really a problem, but she'd find a place to splurge later if she wanted something else. She couldn't help but hear Trevor and Jenna's conversation and smiled to herself. "I was actually wondering the same thing." She said. "Something to make them more fun and not so...bland" She said.

Jenna smiled and turned over her shoulder. Another student had approached and Jenna gave the girl a nod to let her know she acknowledged her presence before begining to speak. She seemed friendly enough and already had a handful of clothes in her arms. Jenna eyed the belt. "Your right," she whistled, "Now we just gotta find somethin'. A scarf'r a pair of big earrings maybe." She looked around and spotted another girl. She felt a chill. The girl seemed off to her. She shook off the feelings and turned her face back to the girl and Twitch.
"Name's Jenna. Jenna Maldonia," the girl clicked, "This is Twitch. Ah see y'all chose the blue. Looks like we've hit all the colors here, ain't we?"

"Really? I was thinking something more like... big sunglasses or something." Twitch chuckled. Joking aside, he did need to find something to spice up the black uniform he had picked out. Maybe if he had his father's intelligence he could think of something. Alas and alack, Twitch seemed to lack the brilliant mind that Stitch had. Oh well... it didn't matter too much. He'd think of something.
His attention was brought to Nikita after a moment, and he waved a little in greeting as Jenna introduced herself and him to her. "Yo. Nice to meet you." Twitch said. "Maybe we could roll up these sleeves or something. Or... bah. I have no idea. This is harder than I thought." he groaned.

Alexis and Alexander wandered around the shop, Alexis was already bored and hated the idea of a uniform. Alexander on the other hand seemed quite content to grab some of the uniform, he grabbed some for her too knowing that she wouldn't willingly choose some. "You feeling better now that we're on the ground Lex?" He asked her and she shrugged and looked around,
"Yeah I guess." She answered then caught sight of some other kids buying the same uniform, her eyes went a little wider and she decided to just stay with her brother instead of going over to talk. "Hey Xan, there are some more students over there." Alexis whispered causing Alexander to look away from the uniforms and over to the small group of kids,
"We should go over and say hi." Alexander suggested but Alexis shook her head and pulled Alexander back,
"Oh no you don't." Alexis snapped and Alexander gave her a look, she wasn't going to willingly walk over to a bunch of kids she'd never met before just because they were possibly her new classmates. Alexander frowned, he actually wanted to make some friends before he entered the academy, that way he would have someone to talk to. He already knew Alexis hated this idea.

"Nice to meet you both." She began with a smile. "I'm Nikita Smith." She didn't have to ask if they were going to the academy, that much was obvious. "Believe me, if I could sew, maybe I could spice them up a little, but no dice." she said with a chuckle. "Or maybe a necklace or some leggings." She mused allowed. She really should have been focusing on the work school would bring, but her teenage mind didn't think of anything past her wardrobe at the moment.
She picked up a shiny bracelet from one of the tables and slipped it around her arm, only for her to put it back. "I think that's a good idea." She said to Twitch. Obviously you can't do the same thing for a girls uniform as guys, so she figured accessorizing with jewelry was out of the question for him. She looked over her shoulder and saw the two redheaded twins and the naturally friendly native american waved at them with a smile, hoping they'd come over.

Odette noticed that more and more students seemed to be joining in on the buying of uniforms. She walked up, before snarling slightly. As if it wasn't enough that these morons were discussing such luxuries as extra decorations for their uniforms, the girl who she was sure she overheard introducing herself as 'Jenna' just naturally irked her on sight. It was almost instinct to feel repulsed in the pit of her stomach.
However, she was always known for her uncaring smile. To her, this would be her new life. The life she'd take control of, instead of being locked away in some room. "So, doing to Academy D, huh?" she finally approached. "Strange. We're in all sorts of ages. What sort of school is this? A high school or a college?"

"Dunno," Jenna said with a slightly harsher tone to her voice then she'd wanted, "Possible we got all ages here. T'ain't nothin' wrong with that." Something about this chick sent chills down Jenna's spine. She tried to shake them off but they stuck slightly. She turned to the red headed twins, gave a brighter smile and waved them over. "Y'all lookin' fer uniforms too?" She asked brightly, trying her best to ignore the girl who freaked her out, "C'mon over. We don't bite. Name's Jenna Maldonia." The others could introduce themselves couldn't they?

Alexander smiled, these people were very friendly, and all of them were students from the academy. He walked towards them, practically dragging Alexis along behind him, up to the group. "Hi, I'm Alexander Fox."
"And I'm Alexis Fox." Alexis finished, introducing herself to the group. She still didn't like or trust any of them but none of them seemed to be too mean or spiteful, so she decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and say hello. Besides it couldn't hurt, Alexander wanted to make new friends but she was fine on her own. She grabbed what Alexander had picked out for her in terms of uniform and wrinkled her nose at it, ok it was something she might wear but she still disliked it. School was just a place that made her feel stupid, and a place where her brother could excel but she couldn't.
